Oftentimes victims and survivors of sexual and domestic violence attempt to hide their experience in the shadows. We want to people to know that they are not alone, that we believe them and that they do not have to hide their trauma. Shadows Ignited is a combination of poetry, music, dance, dramatic performances and spoken word to help spread awareness and give victims and survivors a platform to share their stories in a creative way.

Dr. Beverly Greene Bond is a highly revered academic who has spent her professional career sharing her vast African American Women History knowledge. She will discuss not only what happened to Recy Taylor, but how her courage had a ripple effect across the Jim Crow South and her place in history.
TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 2022
We are celebrating International Women's Day with an evening of music, poetry and personal storytelling about what International Women's Day means to them. The event will be live streamed on our YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitch pages.
