VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Anyone between the age of 16-17 years old must have their parent's permission to volunteer. Additionally, all volunteers must sign a release wavier. RELEASE WAIVER

Duties:

• Identifying logistical, volunteer and promotional needs
• Assisting  in organizing and facilitating events
• Report estimated attendance, print materials and business distributed, donations, and referral requests. 
• 2 hour minimum shift
• Setup or teardown of tent, tables, materials, etc. if working 1st or last shift. 

• Help identify potential sponsors, members and special event donors
• Contact and build relationship with donors and sponsors
• Assisting in identifying appropriate grant opportunities
• Help develop ideas for fundraising events and projects

Responsible for:

•  Helping recruit volunteers for various functions
• Work with outreach coordinator to determine need for volunteers
• Helping to supervise volunteers during large events

 Responsible for:

• Collaborate with volunteer, event coordinator, and executive director to develop messaging strategies for large events or special circumstances. 
• Develop social media post using criteria provided.
• Assist with monitoring news media and social media activity. Notify Executive Director of any special circumstances.
• Assist with writing official statements and responding to media inquiries as needed.
• Create handouts as well as reals using video and photos.

 Responsible for:

• Research model policies, best practices and current curriculum
• Evaluated existing curriculum and customize curriculum to meet our current needs.
• Assist facilitator with planning. setup, teardown and presentation of training

Needs Include:

• American Sign Language Interpreter 
• Photographers
• Videographers for live streaming special events

Needs Include:

• LGBTQ+  liaison: Serves as the go-between for Silent No Longer TN and community to assist in identifying needs and providing services
• African American community liaison: Serves as go-between for Silent No Longer TN and community to assist in identifying needs and providing services
•  Hispanic/Latinx community liaison: Serves as go-between for Silent No Longer TN and community to assist in identifying needs and providing services
